strategic brand & packaging design
AN INTRODUCTION
The Cornish Gin Co. is a concept that I created for a truly unique gin, crafted entirely from ingredients and suppliers sourced from Cornwall. The range of products not only include bottled gin but also a selection of ready-to-drink, pre mixed gin and tonics. The audience for this brand was for people who live adventurous and outdoorsy lifestyles, who appreciate the quality and sustainability from sourcing quality local ingredients.
A STRATEGIC APPROACH
Cornwall is home to a huge array of independent gin distillers so I really wanted to create something that would stand out from the crowd. A typical feature in a lot of the boutique gin distillers, is intricate and detailed brand and packaging design full of colour and content. For this reason, I chose a more minimal approach for the packaging and brand design.



INTENTIONAL BRAND DESIGN
This stripped back, minimal approach also appeals to the target audience demographic - the quality and provenance being the most important aspect of this product.
This reference to provenance follows through into the brand design with the submark created to represent juniper berries - the integral ingredient of gin.
